Ethos and Philosophy At Ormer House it is during the working day that children's personal experiences of belonging, sharing and trusting are developed. Older children are encouraged to take the lead and learn much about responsibility and setting an example in good manners, thoughtfulness and tolerance of others. We believe in understanding and encouragement within a disciplined and caring environment. It is understood that every child needs to participate and experience a degree of success, be it in the classroom, on the sports field, on the stage or in some other area of school activity. This will lead to greater self-confidence, self-discipline and individual fulfilment.
We like our children to have the courage of their convictions, to realise that less can sometimes be more, that determination is required of everyone and that success is not the necessary result of every effort. |
